In fact, dropshippers can make significantly more profits than actual ecommerce store owners because, dropshipping stores are a lot easier to set up.

5. Setting up WooCommerce Store for Dropshipping using AliDropship

Here’s how to set up a WooCommerce dropshipping store using AliDropship.

Step 1: Setup WooCommerce Store

After downloading AliDropship, if you still haven’t already established a WooCommerce store, then set it up.

Step 2: Upload AliDropship Plugin

Go to your WooCommerce Dashboard > Plugins > Add New and upload the zip file you have downloaded to your computer.

Next, upload your plugin and click on the Install Now button to activate it.

After successfully uploading the plugin, the AliDropship Woo tab will appear in the sidebar menu within the dashboard.

Here, you will need to add your license key and click the Activate button to get started.

If your license is valid, then you will get a message saying that your license code is valid.

Congratulations! you have now set up WooCommerce dropshipping store successfully.

Step 3: Import Product using AliExpress Dropshipping Plugin

In order to start searching for and adding products to your store, please Install AliDropship Extension.

Tip: You will need Google Chrome browser to add AliDropship extension as it doesn’t currently work with any other browser.

AliDropship extension allows you to grab AliExpress products of your choice to add to your store. Once you have added the plugin, the following notification will appear on your screen. Next, connect the extension to your store.

Step 4: Connect AliDropship Plugin and Extension

To do so, go to the AliDropship icon on your browser and click it. It will take you to the authorization prompt. Click Authorize to connect both the plugin and the extension.

After both are authorized, you will get the following message.

Now, go to AliExpress.com and select the products that you would like to add to your website. There are two ways to import the products;

1. Direct Import Method – Direct import method allows you to import AliExpress products in a category of your choice. You can also select the price, order volume and seller’s ratings.
2. Import from List – Or, you can use the import list feature, When you start importing, the products are kept in a list from where you manually place them in various categories.

Once you click on Go to Import List, you will be redirected to the AliExpress store.

AliDropship allows two types of product import feature.

• Single Product Import
• Bulk Product Import

If you need to add only some particular products, click the orange AliDropship logo to import items one by one.

After clicking on the yellow button, you will see a tick next to the cart icon (as is available below).

If you want to edit item details before adding it to your store, click Edit button from the top menu bar.

In the Edit tab, you can change the Title, Permalink, Category Type, Description, Images and all necessary changes required to take the product live.

The description can be edited from the Description tab. You can also Remove Text and Remove Images or add new images to the product. AliDropship also allows you to edit images. Simply click on the pencil icon in the top right corner of an image to start editing it.

All imported images are automatically added to the media section of the website. In order to make one image the featured image of the website, simply click on it and make it featured.

In the pricing section, you can set new price and apply pricing formula (product price will be re-calculated according to the pricing formula you have set in AliDropship > Settings > Pricing).

In the Variations tab, you cannot only edit or delete already existing variations, but also add new attributes and variations. Click Reset to Defaults button in case you do not want the changes you have made to the product to be saved.

Once you have made all necessary changes to the product, click Publish or Add to Import List if you do not want this product to be visible to your customers.

Click on Import button from the top menu bar panel if you want to import items in bulk. The number of products awaiting import is displayed on the Import button. Import progress can be checked on the Import button as well.
